Umeå Hardcore: 20 bands/records you need to check out

umeå

We at THE UNDERGROUND FRACTION wants to pay tribute to the world famous Umeå Hardcore Scene. The impact that the strong northern hardcore movement had for the rest of the scene can’t be ignored. It all started in 1989 with STEP FORWARD and was followed by REFUSED, ABHINANDA and the bands on the DESPERATE FIGHT RECORDS label. Some people may think that the scene died in the late 90’s but we will prove you wrong. We are very proud to be a part of this amazing scene with the release of Umeå’s HÅLL DET ÄKTA – 090 LP on October 31:st, 2013.

Here’s a list of 20 bands and 20 records that you need to check out. Both the famous and those from the underground. Enjoy!

  1. Så mycket otroligt fina plattor! Extra speciella för mig är:

    Shield vampiresongs
    Separation s/t
    Bloodpath / Forced Into split

    Fortfarande favoriter
